Kaazing Enterprise Comet™

The Kaazing Enterprise Comet™ (EC) platform is a message bus that performs one-to-many message brokering over HTTP. Messages fan out in real-time, propagating to interested receivers in parallel. This increases scalability, eliminates network
traffic redundancy, and reduces server load.

To route messages in real-time to Web browsers, the Enterprise Comet platform creates a hierarchical overlay network. Messages delivered through the overlay network reach the intended Web browser by following a routing algorithm layered on top of the standard Internet network protocols. When a message is dispatched, the Enterprise Comet server forwards the message to each attached Web browser using a technique called Comet.

The Enterprise Comet edge server optimizes message distribution by providing a geographically local connection endpoint for Web browsers. When a message is dispatched, the Enterprise Comet server forwards the message once to each attached edge server, which then routes the message to each attached Web browser. This significantly reduces the total time to deliver the same message to all interested Web browsers.

Kaazing's Virtual Machine

The Kaazing VM translates Java bytecode to client-side native code at runtime. The Kaazing VM supports all major Web browsers and enables desktop clients to interact with Web clients. With the Kaazing VM there are no barriers to learn and create applications - it is all Java.

The Kaazing VM supports Java 6 bytecode and translates Java to JavaScript for the browser.  The VM extends the reach of JMS, JMX, and EJB to the client by providing plug-in free support for Java in the browser.  Now developers  can build real-time Web applications entirely in Java, and only deploy the Java binaries.

All applications created with Kaazing Enterprise Edition are dynamically loaded at runtime and only application logic used will be loaded. There is no additional setup to deploy to standard Java EE containers, and Kaazing’s VM automatically handles the payload between client and server, and supports sending serializable Java objects across tiers.
